Found this at Amazon when I was looking for gaming headsets. The amazon title is misleading, it has a noise cancelling mic not headphones.

Trying to make it a non referral link hope this works.

Hopefully non referral

edit: hopefully this isn't a repost since I searched for Sennheiser/Pc150/amazon/headphones/etc...

Great headset. Bought one myself a weak ago.

Returnning it Monday.

Very very very weak wire around the connector. It has a short in it out of the box. If you push and hold it one way it works perfect. THe other just static and messed up. And it has to be held to work.

Its a shame, best sounding mic I have ever found and great sound from the headphones.

Maybe yours is just defective?
If you really like it that much, I'd give a new one a try - just take a walkman to the store with you and test it on the spot.

Yeah I have thought about it but its not just a defect. Its actually the way the wireing is attched to the connector. Its very very weak and flimsy. So even if I got one working it would be very easy to break it with just very minimal pressure. I compared it to my old Labtec standup microphones connector and the difference is night and day in how much stronger it is. Would be about impossible to break it.

If you do get one it does have great sound and a super nice mic but be warned that where the wire attachs to the mic plugin is very very weak.

Edit: And I cant try it out :/ Bought it from a web site for the lower price.

After reading several reviews and seeing the recommendation by Maximum PC, my friend and I each bought this headset.

Its awesome. Best sounding headset with a mic out there period. Before this I've owned and/or used headsets from logitech, plantronics, and labtech... none of these hold a candle to this set.

The mic sounds absolutely crystal clear. Our Desert Combat team uses Ventrilo, and some of our teammates claim it sounds as if we are calling from a regular telephone.

The cans themselves are really good too (not audiophile quality by any stretch) but definately leaps and bounds better than anything else with a mic attached.

Regarding the cables, yes they do seem a little thin, but neither of us have had any issues.. if you are the type that likes to run them over with your chair, or are generally rough with your headset, you may not appreciate the cable thickness. I definately wouldn't go twirling my headset around by its only cable.

That was the thing though Salsa. I did not do any of that. Was just like that as soon as I took it out of the box and honestly I think thats quite over stating it (The running over and such). Imo if you jus plug and unplug these quite often then there is a good chance it could break right at the connector. It really is that flimsy. Which makes no sense at all considering the quality of the sound and the mic. I mean the mic just blew me away in how well it works and the headphones sound very good as well. Not the most comfortable set I have ever used (The top is a little hard even though its padded). But defintly the best mic I have ever used and the sound itself is very good. And its not the cord itself that was the problem or what worries me so much. Its right past the connector where the wire starts and is attached to the connector that is weak. Also where it actually attaches to the headphones themselves is pretty flimsy. So just picking them up and laying them down bends and moves that point. For a comparison pick up a very cheap labtec stand up microphone. Its at least one hundred times more sturdy at the connector.

I am returning my for a exchange. Still not sure what I am going to exchange for though. I could get these again and take my chances but honestly I would rather have a lighter set with a bit better connectors.

Back to the point though, if they dont break I would highly recommend these for the mic. It is by far the best mic I have ever heard or used for a pc. Honestly even if they do break it would not be hard to repair or at the very least you could take steps to strengthen the connector if you are planning on moving it back and fourth between several pcs.

Why are you constantly plugging and unplugging your headset? you need one of these:

I-Splitter

light years better than crappy jack splitters that cause serious sound degradation... then you won't have to worry about destroying your cables when you tug it out of your sound card

we've been using them for several months and they still sound good and are in perfect shape... and personally I think this is the most comfortable headset I've ever used.

Not saying I would be plugging and unplugging. I plugged mine in two different times. One to try the front connection on my computer and the other to plug them in the rear. I was very careful in doing so, but in those two plugs the wire developed the short. Very frustrating I tell you. For such a nice piece of a equipement why do they take the easy way out and make such a crappy connector :/
