$199.95. Use code WELCOME10US for 10% off first order. Final price $179.96

Sennheiser uses Digital River for product shipping and customer service (also used by companies like Nvidia's store). Digital River doesn't have the best reviews for providing great customer service, so just be aware of that. If you don't want to do the Digital River fulfillment route, the headphones are on sale for $199.95 at places like Amazon, Best Buy, Crutchfield, and BH Photo.

This should be the lowest price they have been since they were released in 2015 @ $500. At this sale price, I finally pulled the trigger on these headphones. :D

My pair came today.

I am not disappointed in the sound at all. Enough bass to keep it lively, but not so overdone that it drowns out the mids and highs. They sound great and are very comfortable. :D

I will say that these were the worst smelling headphones I've ever come across. I've seen various posts over the years when reading reviews on items where people would talk about how the smell of the item was horrible. I just always thought people were over-exaggerating and being dramatic about a minor odor.

Whatever chemical Sennheiser used on the leather earpads and headband was so bad, I smelled it as soon as I opened the package. I figured it would be OK until it aired out a bit, but the smell was making nauseous while I had them on. I ended up taking some leather cleaner, and wiping them down to get that chemical off.

How do they sound wired? Wireless just sounds like ass, but these come with a cable so i'd like to know if they are good wired.

Unexpectedly, I think they sound very good even using Bluetooth. They sound a lot better than the last wireless Sony pair I bought back in 2014 (MDR-1RBT) which was a Bluetooth 3.0 model.

Using the audio cable, they do sound better. The problem is the cord is relatively short (4 1/2 ft), and is pretty thin. It isn't long enough for me to plug into the back of my PC to where I sit, so I have to plug it into the front audio jack of the case. You can tell by the cable they included that they know people will likely only use the headphones in wireless mode (and only use the cable if their battery happens to run out). I'm going to need to get another longer (and better) audio cable to use on my PC. So for now I am only going to use them in Bluetooth mode, and for the first time I'm OK with that until I get around to finding the cable.

I long for the day for a really great sounding, loud set of BT headphones.

They're getting close.

I only ever listened to my Sony headphones using Bluetooth when I couldn't use a cable (like working in the yard), otherwise I always used the cable when using them.

On another note, the chemical smell I spoke about in my 2nd post was still there even after wiping down the leather. The smell is coming from the actual housing area, and must have just adsorbed into the leather. I haven't used them since last night, and they have been sitting in front a fan (with some sprays of Febreze) until that smell lessens. I must just be sensitive to whatever that chemical is. So that part really sucks, and is the first time I've ever had to do that with any product.
