Searched with "senn", "sennheiser", "hd280", "hd280pro" and came up with nothing. My appologies if this is a repost.
Newegg has a sale on referral link deleted The deal expires on 9/5.

Many headphiles find these quite acceptable for casual use, if that says anything about how good these are. Personally, I would be looking at atrio m5s for outdoor use, but to each his own. Someone might like these senns more 🙂

EDIT: sorry mod, I used the FW link I found thru google. had no idea it had referral link in it, hope no one gets offended.

EDIT2: now with a better deal in the title as suggested by zifn4b

Here's a better deal. 78.99 with free shipping or 81.98 with 2 day shipping. I have a pair of these and they are great. I use them with a Line 6 POD Live XT for my guitar.

These worth the cash of the upgrade from the Sennheiser HD 212pros?

Judging by the opinions at head-fi, most definitely so - should be a whole class above the hd212pros. But then again, we all hear things differently. For one thing, they are known to be somewhat anemic and bright, relatively speaking. So YMMV.

The selling point these cans have to offer is isolation and comfort with quite enjoyable unamped listening. If you dont mind getting all the suspicious stares and looks, I figure they could make good leather earmuffs too 😛

what headroom has to say about them

Putting another good word in for these headphones - have had a pair for 2 years now and absolutely love them. Great sound, great durability, can't hear a thing while I'm listening to them.
