Senior classmate commited suicide last night

I got a phone call about 9 AM telling me that one of my fellow classmates (class of about 130) shot himself in the head late last night.

Just remember that no problem is EVER worth your life, for sooner or later it will be resolved.

For those of you that pray, I ask for prayers. For those of you who don't, thanks for the support and thoughts.

The closest I have heard, unconfirmed as of now, is that his girl friend broke up with him the same night.

I don't know how that works. They both suck. Both are wasting lives. I think in my religion they're about equal...

I had a friend commit suicide over his girlfriend as well ... he was on the phone with her and said "You won't ever see me again" and shot himself in the head.

Sorry to hear that Viper. I know exactly how you're feeling right now. A very good friend of mine killed himself our senior year about a week before graduation. Go be with your other friends; talk about it, cry about it, just don't cork your feelings up.

It is really sad, I cannot see how the lack of one person in your life will make you want to take your own.

That's horrible. If people only knew how devastating it is to the family and friends left behind, they would never consider it.

on another note though, suicide is extremely selfish. It leaves the family with no one to actually "blame" (as to atleast in a murder there is the murder to blame).. and the family eats its self up wondering what they did that was so wrong that would make their kid not want to be around them. Not to mention how his gf probably will blame herself for the rest of her life as well.

What a shame and a waste. What makes it worse is that this is a school-age person killing himself over a girl, when in reality he had most of his life ahead of him.
