sending video from one pc to another via LAN

Any idea how to do this?

The goal is to send the TV Tuner output from one PC to another via LAN

cheers

The TV tuner runs on what they call an overlay and cannot be seen across a network as far as I know. Maybe only if the receiving machine had the same tv hardware to run the overlay. But I do not think it is possible via lan.

nope that won't do it... what could work is if you captured the TV cards output and streamed it with Real or Windows Media or something.

I tried VideoLAN and it does all those file streaming over LAN.
But no WDM Streaming over LAN... I thought I saw an option in Sasami2K player to receive WDM stream
Now what's the streamer?

you obviously need a stream server... that is not my area of expertise.

A friend tried this once though, but I think he used a linux machine as a stream server. He is not online right now so I can't ask him.
