sending SMTP other than port 25

hey, anyone know of an ISP that allows to send mail on a port other than 25, and i can use any email address I want? i am sick of not being able to use my ISP with cox.

while we are at it, i remember seeing some web sites that reviews ISPs - anyone know of them?

Well, it won't do muchg good if the server isn't listening to the other ports.

um, yeah, that is my question, does anyone know of an isp that has SMTP listening on a port other than 25 so i can send it through them?

No, SMTP belongs on port 25.
 
Many 3rd party email hosting providers are having to configure a 2nd port for their SMTP listeners. I don't know of any host that would simply let you relay through them though. If they do, let me know who they are so they get shut down 😀. One common port to use is 587, some other hosts use 2525.

I really don't mind that ISP's are doing this port 25 blocking... but for @$#% sake, notify your customers! I'm getting sick and tired of the 75% of support calls that are related to ISP's blocking port 25. Done ranting 😉
