I saw in the documentary "Half-Life 2" that Barney and Gordon are going to shut down your suppressor.
Be warned.

Can someone explain to an ignorant Canadian how a suppressor is legally justifiable?

I mean, realistically, what purpose does it serve?

It protects your hearing, and keeps the sound from bothering your neighbors. Some countries have no restrictions on silencers.

I was just trying to figure out why you'd want it quieter. I mean, I've fired C7's (your M4) on many occasions, and even with cheap ear plugs the sound wasn't an issue.

Plus, I love the sound.

So YOU dont want it quieter, and thats fine. But others do. In fact in many European countries you need no documentation at all and can buy a suppressor pretty cheap.

I for one do not like hearing damage or tinnitus.
