My friend is going to Israel tomorrow and he is going to bring his laptop for emails and stuff.

In his outlook all his SMTP server settings are Mail.bellsouth.net but this wont work in Israel.

what smtp server will work in israel that he can use? His mail comes from his server from go daddy, I dont know if he set up an outgoing mail server. I have tried smtp.hisdomainname.com and mail.smtp.hisdomainname.com and pop3.hisdomainname.com

any one know? thanks

Just use the net addy from bell. Problem solved. Reduce the complexity.

Why not? Check the bellsouth SMTP settings and verify that he is logging onto the server. If he does that, he should be able to use it no matter what his entry network is.

Dunno about bellsouth, but some ISPs block any messages being sent via their server when outside their lines.

Could always just install a simple SMTP server on his computer and use localhost. Or setup an account with gmail and use their smtp server.
