Send Message Over Network?

I just built a rig for my wife to use. She is sitting behind me right now in it. Is there a way to make a message pop up on her screen? 😀 😉

You know what's more fun, install VNC on both pcs and you can control anything on her pc. I did that to someone without them knowing and they were pretty surprised when sentences would just start typing themselves... 😀

proper syntax for net send:
net send her.ip.he.re hi honey! (192.168.1.XX)
It only works if messenger is enabled on her machine. Note that this is NOT msn messenger.
To turn it on for next time, in xp, go to control panel, administrative tools, services.
It will be listed as messenger. Click on it and enable.

Both the OS' are XP Pro.
I'll try them out before she gets home. I want to suprise her.

Win98 has a GUI Popup.

WinXP does not.

You have to use one of the command line methods posted above. Or get one of the free programs that add a GUI interface to the command line. (See one in my post above).
