Your title is about two different subjects.
This thread is about the Senate rejecting the FCC rulings.
Where is the other topic discussed ?

On Monday, the commission's chairman, Michael Powell, warned that the Senate bill would "create a legal morass that will unsettle media regulation for years to come."

[hmmm i wonder how powell's son got the job?

Well, William Heifferson Clintoon appointed him to the Commission in '97 after serving as Chief of Staff of the DOJ's Anti-Trust Division also under the Clintoon Administration. His credentials are impeccable so he was an obvious choice to be appointed as chairman.

Does that help?

Every now and again those nuts in Washington actually do something right.
House Republicans say the bill is DOA when it gets to them. A Bush spokesman said he will veto it anyway.

This is great, the Bush Regime loses another battle, as Congressional lawmakers come to their senses.
