i'd rather have a Congress, ANY Congress, that tackles issues rather than scoring political points. i mean, scoring points worked great for tom delay, didn't it?

as far as we know, this is how it's always worked. honestly, i'm shocked that the rate of appointees with republican connections was only 33%.

Its not totally hopeless---look at all those other people GWB supported whole hog---there is always you are doing a heck of a job Brownie, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz. We can add other dearly departed(s) to the list, but it depends on how you are counting. Its not a matter that GWB can't be moved, its just a matter of lighting a hot enough fire for GWB to feel the pain. And that can be arranged. If at first you don't succeed, try, and try again.
