What's the problem? As long as democrats retain control it's all good. Even if they don't, it's better when neither party can stand in the way of action.

There is no brain defect fucktard. now go cry to your mods

If you don't want to call creating an alternate reality because you're ego can't face unpleasant information a brain defect, then what would you like to call it. You, of course, won't call it anything because you can't see it's real. So you will have to pretend, say, that I live in the altered reality bubble and believe in a defect that's not there. Would you not be tempted to call me defective or maybe a fucktard etc. One think I think we can all admit is that I don't call you michalexxxx because I don't feel like you do. My ego doesn't have some secret pain it's defending against feeling that you are threatening to show me. I feel quite sad about your condition. It's such a waste of intelligence. I do hope you get better.

Its not real. you are making shit up. Or you miss read a study, and are too stupid to realize that. If its the latter, I'm sorry for you.

your nothing but a spamming troll that posts the same crap over and over again.

Apparently you are unable to show me where I misread a study which would be the first gun you'd reach for if you were rational, no?

Now now now, you have a brain defect and can't figure out that I don't tell you the same thing over and over. I just tell you what you are doing every time you do it. The source of the repetition is you and you just did it again. You see the world through your brain defect and it's always the same fucked up color. You can't help yourself because you have no humility or shame. Pride goeth before a fall, so your in for an amazing trip. Not to worry, though, I'll catch you when I can.

wheres your study of a brain defect. I google. I found nothing for a brain defect, except when talked about by left wing nutters.

There are studies that say that conservatives tend to respond to fear more. Those same studies say that liberals respond to positive outcomes more.

IE conservatives tend to look at the negative outcomes, liberals at positive. As a whole we would cancel each other out.

Michal, the study exists and Moonster has posted the links many times ():)

But, I think the ammunition one could insert into their argument's bazooka might be the criteria used to determine the variance from some norm.... IOW, what is the norm and who decides that it is normal and that some quantifiable deviation from that is indicative of being defective....

The study indicates that Conservative folks have a physically different brain construction which somehow causes the behavior Moonster is directing your attention to. (As I recall) But again.... why is the Conservative behavior a defect and the Liberal behavior normal?.... I figure it is because someone has determined that to delude oneself into irrational belief and action regardless of the viability of the belief, etc. is inconsistent with an empirical view toward reality.... or some such.

I found articles discussing the study. I haven't found the study that calls the brain variance a 'defect'. Only whack job nutter lefty writers attributed the deviation from normal to be a 'defect'.

moon* somehow got that stuck in his head, and now in order to not consider the any other view point, moon* just labels those he disagrees with 'defective' . It has to be some sort of self preservation mechanism.

However the constant spamming of the same crap is getting old.

What do you mean it's getting old? It sounds more like you're having an emotional reaction to ideas you don't want brought to your attention. The only way I can think of that would account for that is that the ideas being presented are hitting home somewhere and you selfishly want that to stop. This is exactly what the studies of the location of the different nature of the conservative brain structure predicts, indicating there's a connection between the difference in the structure and the defective apperception of reality. So if conservatives are likely to have brain structure that causes them to deflect and if, as surely everybody on the planet will admit, the inability to determine the real nature of what is happening around you in the environment is a defect, then surely conservatives are brain defective, no?

I mean, if the purpose of intelligence is to understand the world in order to survive in it, and people who are motivated to twist that understanding to create an altered reality, and these very people are also very determined to team up with others with the same defect to control the nature of the world we live in, the nature of government, surely you can see that such folk could easily drive us all off a cliff where going in the right direction might hurt their egos. I mean, come on, your brains are a threat to life itself if the scientific facts are true. I would think that calling you defective would be mild criticism. At least I didn't go all Dalek on you.

There's a well meaning sign at the local aquarium that says, 'Do not feed the paranoids. Keep your hands out of the tanks.' I never seem to listen. Dumb as a stump, I guess.

Furthermore, among the community of folk who study brain differences between conservatives, there is great concern as to how it will be possible to save ourselves from conservative team loyalty, the urge to differentiate from, demonize, and dominate the other since there really isn't an other out there on the horizon at the moment for which such a survival mechanism would be advantageous to have. The problem, of course, is that conservatives deny science just like they do reality, the two having so much in common. Nobody knows how to reach them and warn them of the risk they pose to themselves and others. Since the nature of paranoia is to react with fear, any help that is directed in their direction is perceived as a threat. What do you do with a person who has a gun to his head and becomes highly agitated an any suggestion he or she should put it down, when they are convinced they are pointing it at you and you are trying to get the drop on them? There's so far not much anybody in the scientific community has come up with to do about the condition. It has been determined that repetition makes the brain defect better and better at what it does. Maybe, however, somebody needs to test the limits of that. What the hell. I know I'll be in for some grief, but it's all about saving you from yourself. You're off in la la land anyway, so what the hell. And everything I wish for you already happened to me. I used to think like you do. But in them yonder days of yore, I had no idea how much I hated myself and how much I didn't want to know it. I didn't just get hoist on my own petard, I got exploded.

I still think the following is a subconscious admission by Moonbeam and why he's a one trick pony when it comes to spewing psychobabble that he's either heard from his doctors or misunderstood something he read. I also think his main hatred for conservatives/Republicans is he feels they responsible for his pain in life or prevent him from getting the help he needs.

It's called truthiness, the transformation of rationalizations into truth due to the unconscious need to avoid unpleasant feelings as well as the need to avoid any knowledge that you have them. It's just as though you were inviting a paranoid schizophrenic to let go of his fear, the very thing he imagines is saving him from disaster. And when every doctor you go to tells you you're nuts you become very adept at not hearing medical advise.

Ridiculous. The only think that keeps me from getting help is the fear there's something wrong with me. Leave it to you not to know that.

Either that or you continue to be stone deaf. Luckily for me or not, the science seems to be on my side. What other reason could there be not to see the empirical than an unrecognized motivation. Everybody takes delight in thinking that what they think is sane. Well, most everybody. I don't much consider it at all cause I know I'm sane. We are similar like that but with me and the science on the same side. Good thing too, because as a person who can be persuaded by data, I would be most upsetting but inevitable that I give in to the data were it with you. Good thing too, I'm not competitive even a bit or I'd be tempted to rub your nose in the fact that my knowledge is of the real world and not some absurd made up altered reality I'd be red in the face to admit.

Based on your constant psychobabble throughout the forum it's extremely plausible that your post was a subconscious admission.

Excuse me for saying so but wouldn't that be based on your perception that my posts throughout the forum are psychobabble actually exists only as an opinion fabricated by your defective mind to deflect any truth being expressed that would apply to you. That is what the science predicts about you. You can't claim to have any credibility at all when you belong to a group that is characterized by defective thinking. In fact, all you do is demonstrate for any clear-minded thinker that all these subconscious rationalizations likely belong to you.

When a mind is cast in concrete, every step in thinking it takes is accompanied by a familiar thud.

It's all good Moonbeam between your psychobabble and profanity laced tirades as well as your one trick pony posts there's no doubt that that post was an admission. Sometimes it's best to get things out in open so the weight of hiding it isn't so great.

There is no science on your side. Outside of your brain being defective, there is no conservative brain defect.

In fact even your 'science' that said the 'fear' section of a conservative mind is being called into question. Because the fear center isn't just about fear.

I used fear center as a way to describe the right amygdala because that's a standard way to describe it. What does your link change about the facts I have presented. They are not based on the concept of fear so much as motivation. I told you that conservatives have been scientifically shown to engage in the process of rationalization when unpleasant facts about their ego are at stake. This is about an emotional motivation not to experience unpleasant facts that causes rationalization. The fact that the understanding of the function of the amygdala is expanding changes nothing about what I have presented. Read carefully.

I figure there are easy to observe factors associated with just about anything that might tend to support or deny that which is scientifically derived.... or postulated. Well.... omitting quantum mechanical event... :+)

For instance, in this debate over Senate activity we have Conservative folks blocking most any Obama nomination for reasons other than the suitability of the nominee for the position.... L. Graham because he wants information on some other topic and others cuz they don't want Obama to fill the three seats in the DC Circuit, and etc... And regarding suitability, the current Vice Chair of the Fed, is now seen as too this or that....
I don't see that as fear per se... but, rather, something far more sinister perhaps developed from a fear state.

Why is it that folks are so polarized? Why do the Liberals think one way and the Conservatives the other... Something must cause that condition? They both see the same elephant but don't interpret it the same... I see this big grayish thing with a long nose and floppy ears but Senator Cruz says it has a long tail, whiskers and can't be more than a pound in weight...
I figure he must be seeing something else or denying what he does see and determines that if he calls it a rat it won't stomp him into the ground if it gets close enough... There is a sure way to know what is danger and what is simply a rodent.... Which does the Cat chase...

So does changing the rules whenever they don't suit you. Sounds like playground antics, can't win, just cheat.

You're right. Republicans shouldn't have abused the filibuster. It sounds like playground antics. You can't win, even with gerrymandering the districts all to hell, and still throw tantrums. ;)

They used it far beyond its intended purpose to subvert the entire legislative process.

Agreed. Repubs knowingly forced it to happen. They nearly did it themselves some years back over a handful of judicial nominees.

It's apparently what they wanted, and I think it's a damned shame that Reid let them have it.
