"GTA3 glamorizes antisocial and criminal activity" and is "inappropriate for kids," says David Walsh, head of the National Institute on Media and the Family, a Minnesota-based media watchdog organization. Even though hit movies such as Pulp Fiction also glamorize violence, "with a game, the player is in the role of perpetrator, not observer. That is a different kind of psychological role."

It's funny that the list is comprised of all the best games out right now.

If parents dont want their children playing games like this then they should torture them and buy them a gamecube! :p

Lieberman's just pissed that he didn't become vice-pres. I bet old GW is down with some CS DM everynight.

while i think the decision of which games a child is not allowed or allowed to play is between the child and the parents, i think sen. lieberman means well for caring enough about children to come up with such a list. the man has a history of trying to shield children from violence and vulgarity and i think that is a good thing. though i think many of the games on that list are cool and entertaining and i play several of them on a semi-regular basis, after recent events in the world, i've found i have a lower tolerance to violence than i once had. i think it's admirable that he's trying to shield children from witnessing more violence.

Joe was pulling crap like this before he was a candidate.

I amagine Bush would like to play CS--he played enough PS1 when he was governor of texass.
Too bad he does not know how to operate a pc.

Bush legacy: no email communication in the White House. Why? Not for security reasons...but because AOL is waaaay too hard for the mental midget in the oval office.

should start a thread entitled "senator's that should be ousted and media that should be fired"

this should purely be a parents domain and these 2 should stay the hell out of any type of legislation initative

Please learn to spell before you refer to anybody else as a mental midget. Incidentally, what was the point of your post?

i think it's retarded to say it causes violence

when my dad was a kid he would think nothing of going out and killing a deer, bring it back, start skinningit and give it to his mom to fry up for some good eats

kids of today are too weak, if they don't get some violence in them they will never understand what the real world is like
