Sempron processor?

Would a Sempron 754 socker cpu work on any motherboard that support 754?

I see on newegg lots of motherboards but they all say support for AMD 64 bit athlon not sempron.

yes, any S754 mobo will support the Sempron 3100+ and any Athlon 64 (S754) processors. You may need to do a BIOS update in order for the BIOS to read the Sempron properly though.

Thanks for the tip Socket, 3 bucks is not a big difference.

my computer at the moment its a Athlon T-bird 1.33 i guess this would be a major improvement right?

yes it would be a big improvement another good upgrade is a sata hd there inexpensive really and they will greatly help with your computer running i upgraded from a athlon xp 1600 to a athlon 64 3000 skt 754 and i oc it to 2.4 and it is a lot faster than my old athlon xp especially gaming
