I think that the answer depends on the resolution that you game at. If you're at 12 x 10 or lower the 8800GT should play most any current game at medium or better settings. Higher resolutions will reveal the limitations of the CPU. Does your PS have a PCI Express connector?

It will limit the card terribly at low and high resolutions and in any game you can think of ( made after 2005). I wouldn't even think of doing such a combination. You should get at least something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16819103215R since you already have a cooler.

It's only 28 $, I find it impossible to not be able to dig further into your wallet for it. Also the "generic Psu" could be a problem.

yea... that processor i see. 1 prob is that i dont see it on the cpu support list (there's a 2300 and 2350) hrmm sent an email to ask if it'd cause any probs. no the psu dont have a pci-e connector. i'll have to get a pci-e adaptor. 2nd prob is i'm not from the states. :S so shipping n handling @ customs are kinda messed up here in trinidad (the one in the caribbean) otherwise it'd be no sweat :D a psu here is like 800 for a thermal take 600 w. currency conversion is us --> tt $1 : $6.3
