While what you did is funny, your comments and attitude make you sound just as pretentious as she was. If you wanted to teach your son how to be an arrogant prick, job well done.
Calling the police was the correct response. Writing a stuck-up note and sitting around mocking her was the wrong response, and frankly it was immature (even if it was funny). You could have taken the high road and been a man, but instead you chose to be a child so you and your son could have a laugh. You speak of setting a good example for your son, but out of all the things you did the only good example was calling the cops on her bitch ass. A long time ago when I was a teenager, I used to hang out with a couple of my fellow Jerry's kids (may they both rest in peace). We were riding in one of those converted vans and needed one of those handicapped parking spaces with the extra room for the wheelchair lift. A group of bratty teenagers pulls into the last remaining spot. We ended up having to disembark in front of the mall while my friend's father parked the van. We briefly discussed finding the jerks and telling them off, but decided against it.
So about two hours later we were heading out and noticed three of them hanging around their car jabbering to each other. That's when Mike, the most bold of us, took his power wheelchair and rammed it right into the side of the car. Then he backed up and did it again. And again.
My other friend and I just sat there speechless. The three teenagers circled my friend Mike and began to threaten him. Luckily, a couple of people broke up what could have become a nasty situation. The police were called and they were cited for parking in a handicapped area and my friend was cited as well.
The teenagers parents sued Mike's parents and won a judgment for $1500 in damages in repair costs. Mike later said the only thing he regrets is that it cost his parents so much money.

You apparently have no concept of what good parenting is.
Unless your definition of 'good parenting" involves acting like a petty teenager, lying to police, and not leading by example all over something so trivial I would ridicule you for even taking notice, to say nothing of acting the way you did.

I wasn't trying to scare anyone, or start crap either as you say. People like her get under my skin....much more than I should let them I'll admit. Maybe it's the fact that I have grandparents who actually need spots like these and when I see some healthy person take one because they can't be bothered to take the few extra steps from a regular spot...well....I was hoping just looking at her puzzled and pissed all at once would set off a "Maybe I shouldn't park here" bell and cause her to move.
Walgreens is known for old people consistantly being there for their pills and old people stuff, so those spots are really used quite often by people who legitametly need them.
I should have just called the cops on her dumb ass to begin with but I honestly didn't think about it to begin with.

I'd think fabricating a story (...I THINK she flipped off an old man who needed the spot on her way in...) is a little worse than parking in the handicapped spot. Is the 'THINK' supposed to whiten this lie a whee bit?

Six months or so back I had my Achilles tendon lengthened/rebuilt and some other work done on my ankle and shoulder and was on crutches for a few months. Due to the nerve work I had in my shoulder and the difficulty it made crutching for any distance, I made good use of the temp handicapped hang tag the first few weeks after the surgery.
During one of my every morning stops at the coffee shop someone had parked a new Benz across both handicapped spots. The car had no handicapped plates or hang tag, and unfortunately there were no spots anywhere close. So, I just said screw it and parked right behind the Benz, blocking it in - and went in to get coffee.
Sure enough on my way in a guy came rushing out to the Benz. He stopped and stared at my car for a good ten seconds, then came rushing back in the Bucks and yelled "WHO PARKED THEIR PIECE OF SH&T BMW BEHIND MY BENZ?" I smiled and said "I Did." He was really furious at this point and it got worse when I told him he had no problem making me wait for a spot so he shouldn't mind waiting himself. Someone watching called the police when he started threatening to drag me out and make me move my car. Long and short, I was warned to call police next time and he was written up for TWO parking in a disabled spot violations and told not to return to that Bucks again.

it would bother me just the same. i cannot stand able bodied people who park in handicapped parking spots.
and the people that have strokes are the ones who keep their stress bottled up.
