Hey guys,

I'm thinking of selling my WRX. It's only got 16.5k miles on it. I encounter way too much rush hour traffic on my commute to the new job these days, so I want to switch to an automatic (yeah I know ;)). KBB has the value listed at 20.3k range. Any recommendations on an automatic that I can still have an enjoyable ride with in that price range?

no amount of stop and go could ever make me switch my manual trans... it doesn't bug me whatsoever.

I still want something with a little kick to it, as well as comfortable to drive in for a long commute. Right now I'm leaning towards a Honda Accord or a 2002/03 Acura TL type S

Mazda 3 automatics have tiptronic. You can preserve a little bit of your manliness. :p

Acura RSX does too, if you feel like spending that much.

Ah yes, Mustangs... the pinnacle of fuel-efficiency and interior spaciousness, and nothing faster in rush hour traffic. :D

How about a Mazda 6? You'd pocket the difference and have a very nice sedan (since you bought a WRX, I'm assuming you don't want to replace with a coupe)

The two I've been looking at are a Used 2003 Infiniti G35 and a Mazda3i. I'm leaning more towards the mazda since it's more economical.

WRX only does 1 to 3mpg better depending on trans then a auto stang city or highway and the stang runs regular.

I'm 90% sure the V8 Mustang takes premium, but I could be wrong.

And anyway, isn't he ditching the WRX because of how inefficient it is for high-traffic driving? What good is switching from one performance car to another?
