So I recently lost my original Galaxy S4. Since I had mobile insurance, I was able to get a replacement with a $200 deductible. However, in the 3 days it took to ship my replacement, I'd decided to sign up for the AT&T Next Plan and get an S5 instead for the better battery life and the fact that I can't apparently live without a smartphone for more than a day. Regardless, I now have (what I think) is a brand new S4 in all it's original packaging. I was thinking of selling it on Swappa. I've never sold a phone before so I was wondering about a couple of things:
1) Is there any issue selling my replacement phone that I received from the insurance company?
2) Can I include the SIM card that comes with the phone (still in original packaging and not broken out or anything) or is that somehow tied to my account?
3) Is there any way of verifying if it was refurb without having to put in the battery and checking the status codes? It looks like original packaging so I'd rather not open things without needing to.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
