Selling our family car

We're selling our 2003 Ford Focus SE, it has 69000 miles on it. I'm hoping to get at least $7500 for it.

to buy from a dealer used is like 8500-9000 I believe

If that's the case, then $7500 private party sounds about right and what I would look to pay for it if I was buying it.

Also, if you have a Carmax in the area, take it in to them and see what they'll offer you. A lot of times they give you a good rate in hopes of you coming back to them in the future to purchase a car.

Edit: By the way, you took good pictures and the car looks to be in mint condition cosmetically, good job on that. Hopefully the person who buys it will treat it just like you did. :thumbsup:
