Don't listen to LOUISSSSS.

I bet you could get 900 for it here, or perhaps more on eBay.

If you part it out, you'll be able to sell the opteron and 1900 quickly (at those prices), but I think you'll have trouble with the rest. Your ram price is a little high too.

This is where the OP me and everyone else fall very different from you. We actually work hard at getting our own stuff, because hard work makes the stuff better to enjoy. And honestly, id think id apreciate a ford focus where i worked hard at getting it more then a BMW for free.

And if you want to rant on my computer, thats perfectly fine, the CPU i bought out of choice and not budget, my mind set was on overclocking, its my personaly hobby. My watercooling setup probably costs more then the entire price of your system minus the CPU. But let me tell you this, i reciently built my brother a system, because he worked his ass off for me, and i rewarded him with a FX-60. Its not oc'd to its true potential, but he doesnt need a 3.0+ghz cpu. And my conroe mediabox isnt going to be something where i throw random stuff on, the parts are all hand picked to have be the best known from reviews in its catigory and class.

Lastly whats wrong with used parts? You act like a snob, yet your cheap to break your stuff? Im sorry if there are actually poor people in this world, obviously you aint helping. Im sure the op even parting with his system will be a heart breaker since he paid and worked for it himself.

Lastly i would like to say b4 i really start making this a flame thread, myself, like the op, love our chips, thats why putting a value on it is very hard. I was once offered 400 for my chip alone but i turned it down because all the time spent tweeking bios, and trying out different memory timings have made me enjoy my build even more. A computer to you maybe something that sits on your desk and allows you to play games while go on the internet, to people like me, a system is a work of art, a means of obtaining bragging rights, and when someone looks and asks WHATS THAT?!?!?, it always brings a smile that my hard work is apreciated elsewhere.

SO stop flaming the op, your the one being real childish, and real men dont require ex's or mommy's to buy them toys.

Lol, thanks guys. BTW LOUISSSSS, I'm not some ungrateful kid who doesn't take care of my stuff. I keep everything I have, especially things that took a full summer of hard work without a penny spent, in very good condition. Whatever though. I've decided to just downgrade certain components like the video card and work my ass off this summer. Thanks again everyone.

DFI Lanparty - $70
Sapphire X1900XT - $400
Mushkin XP4000 1x1GB - $90
Antec TX1050B case and Antec SmartPower 500W - $100
BenQ DQ60 - $25
Western Digital 160GB - $45

That right there is $980 if I parted out and all at pretty darn good prices. I'd think I'd be dumb if I went any less than $900

You are asking too much for the RAM. I can get a new memory for +/- that price. The Same goes for the HDD, The Video Card, PSU, and optical drive.

The Only value I can see here is the CPU might be worth buying, the rest I would stay away from because I can get brand new for that price.

yea not that i think about it i'd doubt i'd pay more than $500-600 for it

I do agree. Any damage caused by overclocking may not show up immediately but in six months to a year, it may start to malfuntion or blue screen with out warning.

aigomorla, just a word of warning, although you'd expect your CPU to be healthier running on low volts, it is possible to damage diodes on the mem controller if the voltage difference between vCore and vDimm is too high. I'm not trying to be an ass here, I read it over at DFI-street (well, it linked to XS forums I think).

The general conclusion was if vCore is within vDimm / 2 - 0.325 you should be fine. They worked this out based on AMD's maximum rated RAM voltage, 2.85, and the minimum vCore CnQ drops the CPUs too.

Shouldn't be a problem, unless you're running RAM over 3v or so. Just thought I'd let you know! :)

To the OP, as has been said, RAM was a bit high. Either way, good luck with the car etc!

Louisss, you got head from your ex-girlfriend when you went over to get a 4800+ and an x1900xt? Wow. You truly are a bad-ass of Norris proportions. Honestly, we all bow down to your amazing man-ness. You must be like, the coolest person ever. Man I wish I could get your autograph or something. I bet you weren't even going over there originally or anything, I bet like, you walked by her house, and she just came flying out in a fit of lust, begged you to come inside and let her give you head, then afterwards, she was like, "OMFGBBQ LOUISSSS, u r teh fastest+furioustest evaarrr, i hartu4eva, that was like, teh so good, here, take everything, take my AMD Athlon 4800+ X2, and my ATI x1900XT. i r teh honourd."

That's what happened isn't it? I bet it is, you were just being modest and trying to protect her dignity. So noble too.

(If you're wondering about my post/sexuality/whether I hartLOUISS4evarrr, I'm English, sarcasm/sardonism is like a national past time)

If I tried to RMA the CPU to AMD, they do have ways of knowing if you overclocked it or not. There is not cheating the system. This processor has been compromised and should not be used.
