Question Selling my old 4930K. Should I get the 3600 or 2700?

Yeah adding RAM to that board would probably be the best thing for now, certainly. That board can hold a fairly large amount of fast, quad channel DDR3 which shouldn't be too much.

I had not realized that the P9X79 from Asus did not support the 1680v2. Perhaps only higher boards like the Deluxe and such. Though, if you put in the latest BIOS update, it may still work unofficially. Who knows though, I could understand not wanting to bother with it given the age of said system, unknown for sure if it will work, and the fact that the 4930k is already present with a decent OC. (and it looks like you could go further, given you have 4.1GHz at 1.2V)
