Selling my car

I want to sell my car. Can I sell it "as is" for parts? I dont think its going to pass smog.

I read on the smog site that seller is responsible for smog. If I come to an aggreement with a potential buyer, would that be legal?

You should be able to have the buyer agree that it's sold as-is, without smog. Just get it in writing that the seller accepts.

I would get a NON-Operational Registration before you sell it.

In California the Seller is responsible EVEN if the buyer signs an agreement to waive the emmisions requirement

Whats the difference between non-op and and operating car? during a transfer?

i see the logic in this...im curious if the buyer is able to drive it home? etc...or go for a test drive? haha

let me see what legality of this whole thing is. i could part it out...but it would be so sad to do so. i rather sell the whole thing cause its really fixable. i just cant afford to fix it.

ill post an update soon
