Selling a computer.

Hey all, I'm selling a computer of mine that was put together at the end of March. The prices on all the parts when I bought them comes out to $1343.99. The prices of the parts today comes out to $1057.96. I was wondering what a fair price to give on all these parts considering both of these prices, and the 8 month or so period that it was used.

i'd say about half that price if it was used
half the current price on the parts i mean

So you're telling me that I should charge about 500 for something I paid over 1400 for w/ shipping and all? That really sounds too low to me.

I was gonna say around $500 too. It really only worth what someone will pay for it.

Thermalright XP-120
AMD Athlon 64 3500+

That's the way things work. Depending on who you sell it to, you might be able to get a bit more. I honestly wouldn't expect more tan $750.

Ebay is the way to go here, imho.

In my opinion, still a nice computer. But I agree, you should probably take it to ebay, you'll get way more money over there

yeah, its used, not brand new right?
you said yourself that the current parts are worth a little over a thousand. why would someone want to pay close to that for used parts when they could get brand new and know they will work for not much more.
you've obviously never tried to sell anything before.

Alright all thanks for the help, I think 750 will be my magic number. No I'm not trying to sell it here either.
