My computers have been idle for 2 months. Clearly, this is unacceptable.

Anyway, here's what I've got:

1) 2x AMD Opteron 240, 2 GB PC2100 ECC Reg
2) 2x AMD Athlon MP 2800+, 512 MB PC2100 ECC Reg
3) 1x AMD Athlon XP 2500+, 768 MB PC2100
4) 1x Intel Pentium 3 650, 512 MB PC100

All of them run Linux. The first dual boots a 32-bit installation and a 64-bit one.

So, what project do you guys recommend?

how about a variety of projects? we have recently assembled a crew of TeAm Anandtech members that are basically a rally team that move from project to project, helping those projects in need the most!

We over in the Seventeen or Bust camp have hit a big, big low. ArsTechnica has doubled our production and is extending their lead, and we're even being outproduced by the tiny US Distributed :(

...and am I incorrect in thinking that you already have an account? ;)

As of my post, five of six posters, Unforgiven, Rebel Alliance, n0cmonkey and myself are members of TA Sentinel Rally TeAm. :)

Like Unforgiven said we move from project to project, staying for a month. This would give you the chance to experience many projects to see which one you would prefer to stay with permanently or you could stay with TA Sentinel.

It only takes one computer to join TeAm Sentinel.

@Allio
Sooner or later TAS will come help SoB, you could join and get a vote.

Also, Electrode see my sig, F@H is a great project that is in need of help to climb the ranks to where a TeAm AnandTech team should be.

Happy crunching :)

All of the projects are great, but I am partial to classic SETI at home. I like to promote it due to the fact that it should be coming to an end soon and we are being caught by our greatest rivals BBR. Anything you join will make a huge difference and I encourage you to make a choice that you believe will be the most fun for you and provide you with a great amount of pleasure.

Oh, BTW, SETI has linux setups.

:)

Well, from what I've read, it looks like I'll be joining TA Sentinal. Now I just need to figure out how to get CommunityTSC up and running...
