Shrug, why not? Innovation doesn't need to be immediately useful to ultimately be groundbreaking and a lot of people innovate purely for the sake of innovating. I say good for him and he is off to a hell of a start from the looks of it.

It doesn’t solve any problem. But racing technology does trickle down into street bikes and some people seem to enjoy watching it.
