Self-distribution of CD - mp3.com? others?

Got a friend of mine that has a spiritual CD out and I'm looking to help him get his music out there.

He's toyed with Amazon.com and I suggested mp3.com. Any thoughts with these or others?

I can see some plusses with each, just want to give him some good options.

Well, I don't know what type of music it is and the quality but you could always provide it to some IRC music channels. If it is good then the pirates will spread it around nicely for you 🙂

Ah, forgot to put that in (d'oh). It's a spiritual CD. He sings a lot here in town.
 
I would just host it on a website and go to a lot of spiritual forums to post topics about it. If you find some people that like it then word of mouth can carry music a long way.

That's likely my other avenue I'd wanted to look into. Now to go find *cringe* spiritual forums 😉
