so here's the deal, due to my temporary living arrangement i have been paying my neighbor to use his internet connection via a usb dongle on my pc. internet works great (well, great for wireless) but now i run into a new problem. i have a lot of random media on my pc, and i have an xbox hooked up to the tv in my living room to stream videos thru xbmc. problem is, xbmc needs the folders on my pc to be shared to view them.. not a big deal, except, i don't want to give my neighbor access to everything on there. if i turn on file sharing, he will be able to see everything on my pc..
does anyone know a way to have windows treat the two different connections differently? like firewall the wireless to keep my stuff private, yet allow the local connection to remain shared for my xbox?
i offer a plate of delicious e-cookies to the person who can help me sort this out.
btw, i'm using xp pro corporate edition on my machine..
