I tried it out yesterday and it felt pretty good. I have a lot of trouble sleeping, so I'm thinking about getting one of these fancy beds... You guys have any experience with them?

We have one and we've had it for a long time. My wife swears by the thing. I can sleep just about anywhere though so it's not as huge of a difference to me. But it's great that the two sides can be adjusted separately.

i tried it in store, didn't seem worth the money to me. just put an aero bed ontop of your current bed.

The aero beds shift a great deal... they're uncomfortable to sleep on...

latex beds are the best.

i went into a Select Comfort store and the salesman came at me, he started going off about springs etc and i said, i have a latex bed and he walked away.

My parents have one of these in the guest bedroom. I have slept on it many times and can't stand it. The "Dual Chamber" technology is basically two airmattresses divided by a partition. So if you and your SO have two widely different sleep numbers you'll find yourself rolling toward the middle.

I would rather sleep on the floor.

We got one of those 3" memory foam toppers for our crap mattress, and now it's comfy. Might give that a shot.

I have one and have liked it so far. My wife and I have never slept well, but we do sleep a little better with the sleepnumber. My back doesn't hurt quite so much. And hopefully it will last longer than our coil mattress.

No thanks I'll stick with my conventional Sealy Posturpedic (Queen) for $339 from CostCo :)

Eventually we may upgrade to Latex but that's after we visit Arizona again.

we're trying to decide on a new matress... right now we're leaning towards the "heavenly bed" that sealy makes specially for the westin hotels. the sleep number beds seem ok, but a little gimmicky.

Why would you roll towards the middle? THe mattresses aren't connected so you just stay on yours and she stays on hers. They aren't slanted in any way so if you end up in the middle, you need to elarn not to do barrel rolls while you sleep...

I highly recommend you get a 3" Memory Foam type of mattress topper. They will make you feel like you are on a $3000 Tempurpedic Mattress at only a fraction of the cost. We bought a memory foam topper that came with 2 free memory foam pillows and it's one of the best things we've ever purchased. Very very comfy sleeps.

Most Hot Deals sites will have deals with Overstock.com and you might be able to use a coupon.

Also try CostCo B&M, they have some high quality mattress toppers at great prices.

Don't get any old topper though. The "Sensus" brand memory foam is the best quality.
Several different companies make them. Sensus foam is pink in color, that's how you can tell it's the original stuff. It's truly awesome stuff to sleep on. I recommend the 3" foam (5lb density).

I've got a 3000 model. We bought it about a year ago I guess. I love it.

Ours has a 4" pillow top on it. The area between the air chambers isnt a problem. I think only the lowest model has no pillow top.
