Seinfeld > Family Guy > Simpsons 6 years ago > Simpsons now

Seinfeld wins hands down against all for me because it is intellectual humor. It's the reason that all of my dumb friends enjoy Friends (they don't get the seinfeld jokes), and all of my intelligent friends watch seinfeld.

Of course you can, the OP just did. You can also compare an apple to an orange. :) Think about that for a second...

LOL! That's funnier than anything that has ever been on Seinfeld.

Seinfeld is not intellectual, it's just stupid.

I think what it comes down to is what is more watchable. Simpsons for as long as they have been on has never gone down the path of truely crude humor the way seinfeld had to. Seinfeld is just sick and boring to me at this point. I remember watching the one yesterday about being "master of his domain" and it was just gross. Simpsons has never had to sink down to that crude level of "humor." I don't care about elain's sponges or georges food preferences in bed, its all just gross. The grossest thing i ever heard mentioned on the simpsons was the obscure reference to troy mclure and his fish fetish.
Simpsons reminds me of Seasame Street in a way. SS has thrown new stuff in every so often but for the most part relies on the old muppets, the old skits, and their original style. The same goes for the simpsons, nothing much changes, it stays funny and entertaining without crossing the line too much, and will continue on for years and years to come even if its only in rerun after rerun.

Both suck, but Simpsons is actually watchable whereas Seinfeld is just lame and boring.
My, aren't you just negative in every thread. Is there ANYTHING you like? :disgust:

No Kidding. Electric Amish thinks he's a modern day hippie or something, having to dislike everything that's "popular"......buck the trend good buddy, down with the man!!!!

Simpsons had Presidents(plural), Poets, Physicists, Artists, and Entertainers as guests.

I get the impression that many great people not only like it, but are proud of it.

I never watched too many episodes of Seinfeld...
maybe 10 total.

For weeks, everyone I knew was running around saying "no soup for you!"
I saw the episode. wtf was so funny about it that had everyone running around like idiots?
