There were also 'silly' sitcoms such as 'Mister Ed' which involved a talking horse. Of course, the horse would only talk to one person, Wilber Post. Wilber's friends and family wouldn't believe that Mister Ed could talk. 'Get Smart' involved Maxwell Smart, an inept secret agent of CONTROL who battled against the forces of evil (mainly KAOS) on a weekly basis. 'Get Smart' was a parody of the ever popular 007 movies.
