Seinfeld or Friends?

NEither.

Cheers was good,

I Love Lucy was better.

There were also 'silly' sitcoms such as 'Mister Ed' which involved a talking horse. Of course, the horse would only talk to one person, Wilber Post. Wilber's friends and family wouldn't believe that Mister Ed could talk. 'Get Smart' involved Maxwell Smart, an inept secret agent of CONTROL who battled against the forces of evil (mainly KAOS) on a weekly basis. 'Get Smart' was a parody of the ever popular 007 movies.

Not even close.

Friends is vacuous waste compared to Seinfeld.

The only sitcoms that, imo, can come close to Seinfeld are M*A*S*H and Cheers.

If anybody votes "Friends" can you please post their username, IP address, and consider a motion for ban.

i voted for friends. too many eps of seinfeld are whiny and completely ridiculous (which is why ppl like them, im sure).

Seinfeld is whiny and Friends isn't? 😕

Ross is the pure definition of metrosexual white boy whine
he does a great job playing that character. I can't stand that guy either. But he's nothing like that in real life.

Had to dig this thread up after an hour-long schooling on why Seinfeld is the best sticom ever to a friend of mine. For years I proclaimed Friends tried to be Seinfeld, Baywatch, and Days of our Lives all put into a blender and served to us with a bottle of cyinide, I'm glad to see the intelligent concensus of ATOT agrees in principle. Bottom line, Seinfeld isn't just some "cult classic" as some critics now like to put it since episodes are run around the clock on cable, nothing comes close to how the shows comedy integrated itself into our society. Yes, I hate Friends with a passion, but even more do I love Seinfeld with appreciation.

seinfeld. friends is AMAZINGLY NOT FUNNY. I mean it's utterly devoid of any humor. i simply cannot belive that anyone could laugh to a show like that.
