Seinfeld 1&2 or 3 at Wal Mart $24.88

Tonight we went to the Wal-Mart in Duarte, CA and found the Seinfeld Season 1&2 and Season 3 DVD sets on sale for $24.88 each! This after I thought I had gotten a good deal by making Circuity City price match Best Buy's $29.99 price and add 10% of the $10.00 difference in their prices, making my final price $28.99. This is only B&M as the web site price on Wal Mart is $29.74, or something like that. Plus I noticed they have stacks and stacks of TV's and DVD players just waiting for Friday morning.

By the way - my wife got the clerk to ring up both of these and then void them out so that we could have a receipt from Wal Mart showing their prices. Do you think this qualifies for Circuit City's price guarantee? Their web site says it applies to advertised prices and I guess technically it isn't an advertised price although we have proof that they were selling it for that price.

used to work @ cc...as long as the mgr on duty's not a total a**hole you should be fine & dandy...though i'd recommend going on a day other than black friday cuz its a pain & waste of time for them (& everybody behind you) on friday.

Thanks, garkman! Yeah, I wouldn't try to do a price match on black Friday. The sales clerks have enough stuff to keep them busy. I was just amazed that WalMart would have it so much cheaper than anywhere else.

As with most things at wm, this is a ymmv. I checked a wm in small town in TN this a.m. and theirs was 39.74 per set (the boxed set was 89.xx)! Ouch! OTOH, a wm in Memphis had them for 29.xx

Think I'm going w/coconuts.com (as mentioned in another thread).

exactly. the only sale thing i seen at walmart (that was the same price everywhere) was those lexar-impact sd cards last christmas for $23.33
target has both for $27.99 -- not trying to mess with op thread, just saying that's what i'm trying to get when the crowds die down 🙂 don't feel like fye's rebate neither, good luck to those going though
thanks to op for the discussion

edit: the ones at target came with a free 8 pk of pop secret movie butter popcorn each
