I've only heard of a $50 price drop. I guess we'll see.

The rumor is $50 bucks off now to flush out the 90nm Premiums, then another $50 off once the 65nm machines ship.

The first price cut is looking pretty official (leaked ads and such). The second one could still just be a rumor.

The decent possibilty of red-ringing sounds fun? I'd wait until it's fixed.

I mean, think about it...you get all of these games, and then it breaks...what's left? You have to stare at the games for a week or two before being able to play again.

Then again, you may not have any problems...it's just been such a high rate that I'd seriously wait and save yourself some potential trouble.

Oh a whole week or two, woe is me! How long have PS3 owners been staring at their consoles because of the lack of good games? More than a week or two. ;) I bought my 360 at Costco, so if it ever breaks I can just take it there and get a new one, same day.

I usually play my PS3 each day...I've never had a problem with not knowing what to play on it.

The thing is, the PS3 is there if you ever want to play it...while the 360 is not (if broken).

I like the Costco idea, though. I'd go for that if I had the moneys.

Same here.. The 360 has been relegated to Media Center duties for now

It's six weeks now. My friend's console just went kaput and they quoted him 6 weeks due to "high demand." We played my PS3 over the weekend and he is going to abandon his Xbox (it's his 2nd time dealing with problems).

Yes, it is a great time to own an Xbox 360. Just like every other month since it's release.

Most users are finding the actual turnaround time is about 2 weeks - MS says 4-6 weeks to cover their butts in the event things are running late.

I don't blame 360 owners who have had problems being pissed - I just feel lucky that mine has been fine so far (bought it in April 2006).
