Seems good acceleration and automatic tranny = oxymoron

One of the better things that Ford makes...plus it's built at the Mazda plant where the Mazda6 is...off the same assembly line. Doesn't get better than that :D
No, it's not. The US-spec Mazda3 is built in Japan.

The Mazda6 is built at the AAI plant in Flat Rock Michigan...so is the '05 Mustang - they
come off the same assembly line. Ford owns Mazda, didn't ya know ;)
This thread is about the Mazda3, which is built in Japan. What does the Mazda6 have to do with this?

Not that it matters, but Ford owns a 33% controlling interest in Mazda. They don't own them outright.

Honestly? Probably the 3.5L in the Chevy Malibu. It's an auto tranny V6 that will pull around 8 seconds 0-60 and gets around 30MPG on the highway. You can pick them up pretty easily under $20,000.

'controlling interest'...so they pwn them :D...anyways it's a global alliance between the two, which has benefitted in a much better built 'stang at the AAI plant. I have no freakin idea KnightBreed what your smokin'...I thought you were saying that the Mazda6 was made in Nippon. Anyways...who the fsck wants a FWD drive car with 275HP...can you say torque-steer?!?

nice times and mpg. but i dont consider mustangs reliable. or has that changed recently?

When was the mustang not reliable? As for Horas's its a pansy v6 model blah blah wait for the mazdaspeed 3 crap whats that going to be priced at? The normal 3s hit $20k+ and the pany v6 version is quicker then just about everthing else for that price.
