I'm hoping everyone can do me a favor and vote NO on this CNN poll. I hate seeing the fun-haters win. This poll is about whether or not personal watercraft (waverunners, jetskis, etc.) should be banned from many national parks. The arguments that these machines are more harmful to the environment than conventional boats is rediculous. The idea of banning waverunners but not banning boats in an area is appalling. If you like the idea of the government putting more restrictions on us, click yes. Otherwise, click NO! Some may say this poll is meaningless in the long run, but it's better to have people looking back and seeing that more people voted NO than yes.

I know it's nothing official, but I do think it may affect public opinion.

I totally agree, minendo. I've seen many idiots riding them but I've also seen many idiots driving cars. No matter where you look you will find these morons, not a reason to punish those that follow the rules.

What bothers me most about this sort of thing is that the people who initiate these banning efforts use lies to get their way. Much of their propaganda is far from the truth.
