craig you are a long time member im sure if you want to talk about a kickstarter you can. We all work in bureaucracy. get to it.

I still don’t get it, if I say I enjoy 7D2D when the new alpha comes out is that a violation?
Even when there is a fully playable game present?

Please forgive me for being dumb, if we post something EA or Kickstarter that could be interesting is against the rules?

If you trying to crowd collect yes.
Starting a thread on a kickstarter, to me is a form of crowd collecting.
Your trying to get others into participation, which is a form of advertisement.

If your discussing about it, then no, if your commenting about how this kickstarter was this, and you did it, because you hope to see that, then its allowed.

That is why the first one is NO.
The thread is started on it, hence to me is crowd collecting.
The second post is OK, because its a discussion on it.

How do you make a thread then?
Simple, you start a discussion on the game first.
Stack your thoughts opinions, comments on the game.

THEN you link the kickstarter with a followup on pro's and con's without asking the audience to please help out or participate.

To me that is a valid link of a kickstarter.

Fair enough, huge pet peeve of mine when a person who works at a game company acts like a regular game fan and promotes their stuff.
The Wreckfest game comes to mind. Wreckfest may be a great game, I don’t like a poster talking up a new release with a very professionally prepared post and not disclosing they work at the developer.
Establish that immediately and I’m fine with whatever follows.
