OK, I'm gonna do it. The job market sucks here in CA, so I'm headed back to the red dirt of upland South Carolina.
Anyone want to buy a condo on San Francisco Bay?

**UPDATE**
Sold the condo in record time. The second party to look at it bought it on the spot, as is.
Now, I'm pondering should I rent / buy an RV and cruise in style (having sent all possesions including car via Moving Company) or load the car, do the Motel 6 thing, I'm bringing Ginger-furr, the Amazing Talking Cat with me, so I need Pet Friendly accomodations naturally, or fly and just meet it there.
I'm thinking I want to go through Houston so I can fish my friend's bass lake....
decisions, decisions....
^^^^^^^^^^^ Update 2 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^6
Decided on the BUDGET 15 ft van with Car Carrier. Cat goes with me, we stay at Motel 5's and test this Pet Friendly advertising their doing. That means a trip to the vet for Ginger for a checkup and flea shot booster.
Fully into packing mode. Things will be left behind. I never realized I had accumulated aproximately 600 lbs of cableing of various kinds. There are 5 plastic totes fro Home Depot full of this stuff. LP's and Tapes and CD's will be going by Common Carrier Freight. I am packing all the audio gear and studio stuff that will fit onto two pallets and shrink wrapping it. It leaves this week. I close escrow next week. I leave by the first.

Good luck. The job market is so tough at the moment, but relief is on the way. Out of curiosity, do you have a job lined up in SC, or are you going hunting for one?

hmm...

Charleston is missing yokels, although I can think of 1 cousin on my wifes side that is pure white trash.

Not to mention that they have 3 high $ colleges there. University of Charleston, Medical University of SC, and Charleston Southern University.

And OMG the college biotches are fine!

Medical University of SC: is that the one where they have revivals and use leeches to purge the bad blood from your system?

DEAH LOWD! :Q

That's borderline insane.. lol

I thought 800$/mo for a 2 bedroom(not sure of square footage.. pretty small, maybe 1250) was quite a bit.. :p

I pay $565 a month currently for a studio in down town Reno. All utilities included. Only thing I pay for is cable.

Kinda reasonable the more I think about it.
