I've created a monster!!

It is a little silly to ban the word ebay when the forum gets advertising money for it.


Now will someone please explain why the word was banned?

The reason that linking to e-bay is banned, is to stop users from spamming their sales. The mods/anand has nothing against e-bay as such though...

If I move my mouse four inches up the screen and left click,I am linked to ebay.

My question is why is it bannned to type the word just like other 4 letter words? The mods should remove the ebay from the banned words list if we are going to take thier ad money.

Again,I could care less about the website.I do not care to do business there anyway.It is obviously hypocritical (and childish) to ban the word.IMHO.

Tripleshot - as I said, the word is banned in order to prevent people coming to these boards and spamming their individual sales.
