Yes, Las vegas has them in store, at least the store I visited today did....Rainbow/Lake Mead...My friend picked one up, she was very happy. I have an Olympus C2100 Ultra zoom that I love, but this would be a great backup cam that is a liitle more portable....I'm getting one tommorow..

About two months ago, they had a similar deal - Office Depot was selling it for $199 and MIR of $100. I picked one up for my daughter. I just got my rebate check. Nice camera, it'll even take a short video.

This will be a nice graduation gift. I have to make sure it's not the same rebate I've done recently.

Too bad the rebate is for BM only. Can't use my $20 online coupon :(

BTW, picked up the last one @ Charlotte University location. It was hidden away . . .

There are several in my location.

Im just worried about buying it and then it not being what I want it to be. How good is the camera? All I want it for is to take general pictures that would look good on 4x6 and 8x10 photo paper. Our current (film) camera didnt load the film correctly on the last batch of pictures and we lost 36 pictures that we really wanted. I just dont want that to happen again.

The A60 is a 2.0 MP camera. I would not print an 8x10 with it. A 4x6 will look good and certainly web content/e-mail will be excellent. You really need at least a 3 MP if not a 4 MP in order to print 8x10's.

Agreed.

The Canon A60 2.0MP is fine for 4x6 but nothing larger.

Thanks OP!

I just purchased the last 2 at the Hayward store and the San Leandro stores. I went in on Saturday to check out if they had the Olympus deal, but remebered seeing they had A60s there.

Again, many thanks!

My rebate form said only 1 per household. Did you get something different?

Are you sure about this?
Not only I have no problem print an exceptional quality 8X10 from 2MP A60, most of camera review, like Steve's, also has no problem doing so w/ majority of 2MP camera.

Well, I got one and I am impressed...a nice package for the money...$110 AT, AR. I have printed 8x10 telephoto shots from my Olympus C2100UZ.......a 2MP camera and can certainly live with the quality of those prints....very happy.....

The Mega-pixel thing is a myth and has been shown to be for a while. Not all 2 Mega-pixels are alike. Some have better lenses and capture systems. I purchased this cam for my sister when they had the deal 2 month ago. My Mom has been using it and the pics are stellar! I doubt you have any issues or show graininess printing 8x10.

if you want to see a sample of indoor, just out of the hip shots. Here are 3 pics that where taken by my Mom and my 6 year old nice: Unedited and full res, indoor shoot

They are a bit shacky, but that has to do with first time users of the cam. I'll see if I can post some shots from the last couple days. For 100$ this is a steal!

I just got in on this deal for my brother-in-law, one of the last two at my local OD. Not a bad deal at all.

Yeah, the megapixel thing is WAY overblown. There is no reason to wast the money on a high megapixel camera right now, because the sensors are still are so small, and that is really the limiting factor at this point, and why the 8MP cameras are such a dissapoinment. Buy a nice 2mp like this one now, and look to upgrade in about 2 years when the technology is more mature.

At this point expensive digital cameras are NOT an investment, so if you are paying high dollar for them, dont expect them to compete in a few years. Right now, they should be viewed more like you view any other computer component.

I was going to get in on this, but those pictures look kinda crappy. they actually don't look a lot better than an old olympus 460z I used to have

my dad has a canon s30 and its color looks soooooo much more natural

We're kind of getting side tracked with the MP issue. In my expeience, you certainly get what you pay for most of the time, if you want a higher MP camera go ahead and shell out the bigger bucks...all I wanted to do was share a killer price on a great camera. It's not the best of the best, no question, but it is surely a very capable camera for the price....

Also, if anyone is looking for compact flash media for this camera, Amazon has a Viking 128Mb card for $9.99 AR, or a SanDisk 256Mb card for $24 AR....

There is a Canon soft bag for the A60 at Amazon for $6 also.......

Enjoy your purchase..I am!

hey guys. I got in on this deal like two months ago. Got the camera and the epson photo printer for 35 dollars plus the 10% advantage which is another 20 gift cards so basically 15 dollars. I love the camera. It is great to printer 4x6, looks as good as 35 mm camera. If there is still the office max 50 off 250 or more try using that. And buy a epson printer for a 20 off rebate the base model and plus 50 for digicam and rinter rebate, plus officedeot rebate to makeit a hot deal
