Security Question (Macbook Pro)

I thought about posting this in the security are but figured it might be better to try here first.

Not sure where this started but I'm guessing I must have allowed something that caused it. I'm just not sure if it is something I accidentally allowed through a browser pop up that didn't require my password or if I was dumb enough to actually allow a change that required me to actually type in my password.

Anyway, it seems fairly minor. Occasionally I will get some random calendar reminders for things such as Ray Ban sunglasses and UGGs. I went through and deleted all of the entries yesterday but just popped my computer open today and there are a few more once again for Ray Bans. The email address associated with the sender of one of these is rb-buy-shop.c o m which of course appears to be associated with fakes and has some association with Facebook. I just can't figure out how to make them stop. The good news is it only seems to be impacting the local calendar for now and that's it.

What's the best way to figure out what is causing these on the Macbook Pro? I ran a virus scan but didn't really come up with anything there. Honestly didn't expect to find anything to be honest.

*FYI, I'm on El Capitan 10.11.6

I've gotten these too. It's just spam, not malware. No one has access to your computer. They are sending calendar invites to your iCloud account. You can change it so calendar invites are sent to you as an email instead of a notification in the calendar app, but you can't turn them off completely, and probably wouldn't want to. Here's a MacWorld article about it.

Thanks guys. Tyranicus, appreciate that article as well. Good to know it must be somewhat recent given the date is from yesterday.
