Just got laid off and Im having a hard time finding a job. Theres tons of security guard jobs and Im seriously thinking about it. Pay sucks. but it comes with benefits and all the good stuff. Life insurance too!

Anyways, if anyone has done it, please let me knwo the good or bad of it.

Whatever pays the bills until you can do something else. Plus, you have a .000000000000000000001% chance of being able to shoot someone! 🙂

I do it every day. I am a licensed security guard in Arkansas. I work for a hospital. You can imagine, I DO NOTHING!!!

Easy easy work in which I have caught up on my reading.

No wonder the killers could just walk into the hospital. If it hadn't been for Jack Bauer, you would have cost people their lives!!

Why the heck do all these geeks feel the need to relate everything in life to that overhyped show?

Why am I a geek?

I don't have the answer to that question.

Seems like a good alternative. You can work nights and still pursue interviews for other jobs during the day.

Whatever pays the bills and gives you time to find a job more suited to your skills. Sure beats being broke
