Security Certificate errors on websites

prism

I've been getting tons of security certificate errors on websites such as Youtube, and I haven't been able to connect to the iTunes store for the same reason. My HDD hasn't been formatted in a couple years, so I did a full format, reinstalled Windows, and am still having the exact same problem with fresh installs of IE and Firefox.

To make matters even worse, Windows Update encounters an "unknown error" when I try to use it.

Any ideas?...

EDIT: If it makes a difference, I have a 100MB partition on my HDD I didn't format as it was labeled "System" by the Windows 7 install thingy...should I try formatting this and the main storage partition again with a fresh OS install?

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to accounts.google.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

Wow, get how stupid this is: my computer's clock had reset a few days ago when all this crap started happening, and I think that caused the problems. When I went into the details tab of the security certificate errors it kept saying the certificates were expired, when it clearly showed that they weren't set to expire until later this year.

I changed my calendar's date and time (as for some reason Windows won't automatically sync to any world clocks.....) and voila, everything works like a charm. Guess I lost everything from my format for nothing :|

That'll do it. Tor won't connect either if your clock is wrong. I have issues with my tablet and Tor. I can't keep the clock right for anything. Either network adjusted, or self adjusted, I end up way off. I need to spend the time tracking down the issue.
