Secretary of State Powell to resign.

WASHINGTON, Nov 15 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State
Colin Powell has told his colleagues he is resigning and the
White House is expected to make the announcement on Monday, a
U.S. official said.

pretty soon, GW will have to make decisions on his own.
 
Energy Secretary Spencer also announces resignation.

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--U.S. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham has resigned,
MSNBC reported Monday.
According to the report, Abraham submitted his resignation to U.S. President
George W. Bush on Friday.
Abraham will remain at his post until a replacement is appointed, MSBNC
reported.

I see Abraham is about to resign but the only blurb on Powell is about his upcoming visit to the West Bank.

Now it's up.
That's about as far away from a surprise as it could possibly be. I would resign as well if just about everyone else in the cabinet had a different view than mine own.

It's not that uncommon, especially when your first four years were as hectic as his were.
