If the SS were using tax payer money for the hookers, then that would be a problem. But if they were using their own cash to score some hookers, I don't see a problem with it and it shouldn't even be close to a dismissable offense.

Morality/exploitation aside, the issue here is security. It absolutely should be a dismissible offense for a SS agent to get plastered and bring back hookers while on duty. These guys were not in Columbia for a vacation or even a business conference. They were supposed to be on duty, preparing for the arrival of the POTUS.

While it seems that no intel was compromised, it is the oldest trick in the book to ply secrets with booze and women. Not only is it unprofessional, it is inviting a potential security breach.
 
Are agents on duty 24/7? Usually soldiers and agents work in shifts so that they have time to relax and sleep. Just because they're in Columbia doesn't mean they are on duty all the time. And what is this 'exploitation' bullshit? Women are hookers by choice so fuck your 'lulz look at my awesome internet morality' bullshit. That's just like saying people exploit strippers because they are poor so going to a strip club is bad. Wake up, sex isn't a bad thing.

Not to mention the president's location and schedules were located in that same room. If she were planted by the Colombian drug lords we could have had an assassination attempt. Good judgement not found.

I would say that in this situation an agent should be considered to be on duty 24/7. Relax and sleep is one thing. A few beers at the bar with your buds: cool. Getting drunk and bringing back uncleared individuals to your room goes beyond "relaxation."

I would absolutely expect secret service agents to be on duty 24/7. They weren't on vacation in Colombia, they were there for work. It's one thing if these were just American soldiers having fun off base. It's another to have the president's security detail putting themselves in compromising positions on an advance trip.
