I'm frequently tasked with providing/recommending videocards for friends & collegues. Usually these people buy a ready system and get crappy video from start. Pretty soon they, as everyone :), realize that gaming performance and openGL UI performance is not at all a secondary consideration. (It's just a foolish phrase they tell the seller to make a good impression :D )

Anyway, because of this I feel obliged to keep updated on "affordable" videocards.
The way I've figured this sofar is that the 6600 and 6600GT performance compares like 5:7. And 6600GT just trails the standard 6800.
Some manufacturers also offer a cheap downgraded 6800"LE". How does this one fit in? I've not seen any reviews or benchmarks. Anyone knows?

I should absolutely choose a X800 instead ;)

Thankyou. (I didn't think anyone would answer this.)
It seem to fall in at about 6600GT. Falling behind or inching ahead, depending on what runs.
Actually that's quite viable, for the prices I've seen for this card. OEM of course, but still.

Well, 6800GT for me, but 6800LE may have it's uses.
