Second PC can't detect printer on first PC

Actually, it doesn't matter which PC it's on, if I switch back and forth, the printer is plugged directly into will work fine. But when I try to set-up my other PC for network printing, it can't detect the printer. Any help?

BTW, this is through a router, not print server

Nevermind, I figured it out. You have to set the printer as default to have it detected on the network.
