I posted this in the peripherals forum, but I am not sure where it goes. Sorry for the repost but I jes need some help.

"My HX08 came with a 300w psu. I have 2 hd's 2 roms, floppy and 5 fans runnin off it(digidoc5). I have more fans but when I connect them it makes the system unstable. I am positive it is due to the lack of power. Should I just buy a 450w or so psu or another 300w and try to set it up with dual psu's? Is dual psu hard? I would rather switch it out to a larger supply if it is that much easier. thanks"

Change it out for a 350 watt quality unit. You could use just a better 300 watt, but that might not leave you enough "headroom" as far as extra power goes. Ebay the old PS to get $15-25 for a good start on an Enermax 350 watt (which has more 4-pin power plugs) or something similar. Two PS's is nice for redundancy, but not necessary.

BTW, that is one BIG case!

Forgot to mention; the reason I say to change it is that two of the reviews I read on it mention bad or dead PS's on delivery. Just do a Google search and you will find several reviews.

Whether or not you get a bigger one is up to you and your budget. There's lots of power in the 350 watt for a "fairly standard" setup. I have 2 HD's, CD, CDRW, 5 fans and other "expected" parts like video card, RAM, etc. I have no power troubles at all. Another good thing about the Enermax PS's is that the cables are really long! Too long for most people, but with your case you should be in hog heaven!! I believe they all come with a couple extra plugs more than most.

If you want to look at various models you can go to the Enermax Site and use the drop down arrow to check them out. Good Luck! BTW, they are not cheap, so you must do some shopping for good deals. I don't really have any suggestion on that other than try Newegg or some of the other reputable discount dealers.
