Second Monitor Not Being Detected

hey guys, just built a new rig today. running a radeon HD 6870. 2nd monitor is not being detected. drivers have been installed. the monitor is a CRT with a VGA cable, running through a DVI adapter. the LCD with DVI cable is working fine.

both monitors were working fine on the old machine earlier today, same sort of setup. any help?

thanks

edit: close thread please, issue solved :S all i had to do was swap the cables. for some reason, the bottom DVI port didn't like the CRT, or the VGA -> DVI adapter, or something. swapped the ports, all good now

Usually one of the dvi ports on the 6000 series is gimped (single link, may or may not work with vga adapter). I think it's because it is shared with the hdmi port (you can't use both at the same time since they are essentially the same connector) at least that's how my 6850 was.
