Does anyone play Second Life?

It's this sim game where you run around in a virtual world doing pretty much EVERYTHING you can think of.

It's absolutely crazy.

At first I thought it was ehh, ok. I was about to delete it etc. but decided to play it a bit more.

Now I'm pretty much hooked.

It's got it's own economy, where people buy and sell anything they can make. Seriously, anything.

You can open a casino, or play in casinos etc.

I've been to parties where theres like 20 people in a club with a LIVE DJ who takes requests and gives shout outs among other things.

You can go to the movies and everything, and watch the movies.

It's absolutely nuts. Takes awhile to get used to it but once you do watch out, it's addicting.

Check it out, I did the basic FREE account, and used paypal just to verify my account and information. People use real money and there's actually an exchange rate for the fake and real currency.

People pay money for prime peices of land to set up clothes shops and stuff.

But anyways I didn't get a cent taken out of my account. So you don't have to worry if you do free basic.

If you decide to sign up I'd appreceate you used me as a referal. BUT I didn't use a referal when I signed up so I don't know if anythings different. You're gonna have to check that out.

You don't have to use referrals at all. It'd just help me out alot.

I'm Frank Eliot on there. Use that name as your referral when you sign up, even if you don't shoot me an IM and I'll show you around!

No one?

Seriously?

I can't believe this.

I'm not even a big fan of computer games, especially sims, but this has got me absolutely hooked.

I tried it for a bit like a year ago.

I thought it was pretty cool until I happened upon a nude party, where I was just disturbed to the point of deleting it.

Really? I saw some weird things on there but then again its the internet.

There's a whole lotta things that don't float my virtual boat, but the place is big enough that I don't have to deal with things I don't want to, just like in real life!

Either way I'm hooked and I don't even enjoy this type of stuff.

I have no idea why it's so great, but it is.

Maybe the ability to do almost anything with everybody (real people) at anytime, literally, anywhere.

You can log on and find thousands of real people just doing their thing. Partying, watching movies, shopping, whatever.

It's crazy. And I don't quit understand it all yet. But I'm enjoying every second if it.

I hear you, I do to.

I decided to go nuts one night and actually do it.

Not my finest hour, but like I said they haven't taken 1 cent from me.

Ialso used paypal so they don't actually have my CC info.

I'm pretty sure it's just for age and information verification, so you can't make like 11 accounts and exploit the economy etc.

But I know where you're coming from.

Thanks Sonic.

Hey thanks for the 2 referrals.

BUT I noticed it said I referred two PAYING customers.

If you guys joined without knowing you did that let me know.

I dunno, two referrals and both being paying customers is kind of fishy.

As far as I can tell you pay a one time fee of 10 bucks. But I signed up and didn't have to pay anything for a basic account.

I still have not been charged for anything. So let me know if somethings up.

I'm gonna be buying a premium account, in the near future but I don't want you guys signing up and mistakingly making a payment.
