I have a brand new XFX 6800 that has dual DVI output. Nice little card. When I first installed it, the dual displays worked swimingly. I then went into Doom3 and it was crap. So, I did some searching and found out I needed to change some profile settings to set Hardware acceleration to Single-Display mode.
I did that and then all of the sudden my second display started turning itself off randomly.
I uninstalled the drivers from nvidia.com. I installed the 66.00s. I uninstalled those and reinstalled the drivers from nVidia. Between each time I used the awesome Driver Cleaner 3. I am in the same boat.
Except now, my 2nd display simply sits in power save mode after a while. I can't change the hardware acceleration option anymore. It seems to work fine if I am in clone mode before I get into windows. If I lower the resolution from the default 1280x1042 its fine. The refresh rate is 60hz so thats okay. If I switch the two monitors, the problem switches so the monitor is fine.
Any ideas?
