anyone else's unit making a slight buzzing sound? My unit is in a Node 304 Mini ITX case placed on my desk so it's almost ear level. When the room is quiet and i'm using the computer I'll hear this buzzing sound that isn't louder than my fans but it stands out.

I've turned off all other fans and hard drives and have narrowed it to the PSU. Just wanted to see if a slight buzzing is normal otherwise I'll try to get an exchange and go from there.

i'll have to check. i have a loud box fan because my room is upstairs and can get hot.

I would never buy a PSU from a brand that isn't Seasonic.

While I agree the Seasonic plats are excellent power supplies (disclaimer: I am running two Seasonic plats right now myself, an 860 and a 660), refusing to even consider any other brand of power supply is rather shortsighted.

I say that because there are at least two power supply lines that are at least the equal of the Seasonic plats.....the Antec HCP (High Current Pro) line built by Delta and the Flextronic-built Corsair AXi line.

I'd buy from either of those lines of power supplies in lieu of the Seasonic plats without hesitation. In fact, I'm still waiting for the Antec HCP-750 to hit the shelves. Both companies, Flextronics and Delta, have shown their "top line" consumer power supplies to be more than the equal of Seasonic's plat. line, both in build quality and electrical performance.

Broaden your horizons, you won't regret it.

Seasonic IS good, but so is Super Flower, especially, their Leadex platform.
